Thank you for your support and vote in the March 6, 2012 primary election.   I want to extend a special thanks to the Clermont County Democratic Party and the FOP Ohio Valley Lodge #112 for their endorsements.   I also want to thank all of you who gave me your personal endorsements and testimonials.   My uncertified vote count came in at 43%.   Both my opponent and I ran competitive, professional and respectful campaigns.   We are both strong women activists and care deeply about helping Democratic candidates and issues.   Please share in my congratulations to my worthy opponent, Melanie Ogg of Scioto County.

Rest assured, I will continue to be an active force for Democratic ideals in Southwest Ohio.   I will continue to be a part of the Clermont County Democratic Party and support our neighbor counties in the 14th Senate District.

I am running for the State Central Committee seat in the 14^th Senate District.

Because this is a partisan contest for a seat on the State Central Committee, the race is determined in the March 6 th Primary. This race will not be on the ballot for the General Election in November. It is a two-year term and an unpaid position.

The Ohio 14^th Senate District includes the following counties: Clermont, Brown, Adams, Scioto and western Lawrence. As a member of the State Central Committee, one can have an effect on the direction of the state party. An elected member’s responsibilities include election of the Chairman of the State Party, participating and voting in State Party candidate and issue endorsements, participating and voting on the State Party constitution/by-laws and maintaining ongoing communications between the State Party and the County Parties within the district.

I am currently Chair of the Clermont County Democratic Party Central Committee, as well as Executive for Ohio Twp and Precinct Captain for New Richmond C.

I am President of the Quin-T Democrat Club in Clermont County and also an active member of the West Clermont Democrats club.

In the past year, I was our County Party’s lead coordinator for the three petition drives: SB5 (NO to Issue 2), HB-194 (Vote Suppression Bill) and HB-319 (Gerrymandered Congressional Districts Referendum). Through the positions I hold and my involvement with the issues, I have proven that I am able to not only work well with the Clermont County Democratic Party and the Ohio Democratic Party, but with neighboring county parties and outside organizations such as We Are Ohio, Organizing for America and Cincinnati AFL-CIO.

I believe my experience and my background enable me to successfully fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the State Central Committee position.
